Caroline - was designed on January 1, 1954 by Ed Monk senior. She was built in 1963 by Bud Forder in Kenmore, the last of 16 of this design. Caroline is 32' with a 12' beam and is powered by a single Chrysler 440. She is constructed of cedar over oak frames, with mahogany cabin and interior. Previously, she was the Tammy J, Gill's Gal, D'Hope Chest, and Sea Horse. She was renamed Caroline in 1997 by her current owner Todd Cochran. Bud Forder died in January 2000 at the age of 90. His wife Lucille stills lives at their home in Port Madison, just across the bay from Ed Monk's home. The Caroline is moored at Westlake Marina on Lake Union.
